Pastor

Daniel Brenneman and Family

Pastor Daniel Brenneman came to Maranatha in 2020 having served as a missionary to New York City and an evangelist since 2005.  Daniel and Hannah were saved at an early age and surrendered to serve in ministry before their teenage years.  Their children, Alec, Ariana, and Ava have also trusted in Jesus as their Savior at young ages.

After graduating from Ambassador Baptist College, Daniel and his high school sweetheart, Hannah, were married and began traveling and serving in many Independent Baptist churches.

Marion reminds them of their roots in West Virginia.

"We have been welcomed to Maranatha by a wonderful, loving family and are thankful that God has led us here."

John & Peggy Carter
Deacon and wife

John and Peggy were both saved over 50 years ago through the ministry of Temple Baptist Church in Ashville, NC.  They joined Maranatha in 2015 where he serves as a deacon and helps with our children’s ministry.

John enjoys his retirement with outdoor activities such as fishing, hunting, camping, and golf.  He chose Maranatha because they support missions, the music, preaching, and the outreach ministries to the lost.”

Peggy brings her past years of experience as a kindergarten teacher to invest in the children of our church on Wednesday night and Sunday morning junior church.

She loves planting/growing flowers, baking, walking, and spending time with family.

She chose Maranatha “because the Word of God is preached and taught, the good music, the people have a heart to serve the Lord, and we felt the Lord leading us there to serve Him in whatever way He chose.”

Jon & Jackie Cook
Deacon and wife

John and Jackie both were raised in Christian homes and asked Christ to be their Savior as children. After meeting during Bible college, they felt God leading them to Maranatha where they have been members since.  Jon was honored to be asked to serve as deacon in 2023. Their family loves serving the Lord in music and in children's ministries.
